For the Love of Scrubs - Voluntary sewer

In March 2020 I was following a group called for the love of scrubs who makes scrubs and other sewable PPE for NHS workers and careworkers that are sadly lacking. I saw an oppertunity to help since I had the basic skills. My first set of seven went to Horsham hospital and the rest to hospitals and carehomes around the Surrey area. I went on to help and advise sewers and test out new material for the sub group Scrubs for heroes - Reigate ,Redhill and Horley.

Skills developed: Zigzag overlock, topstitching, button holes, trouser pockets inset, arms inset. Mitred edged  front and back pockets. Chord trouser tie. Ability to follow different style patterns well. Abilty to work with different types of material
